Attendance policy

Because all classes in the Communication Department require a high degree of class participation, interpersonal interaction, and peer review, students are expected to attend all classes for the entire period. Students who cannot or do not attend classes regularly, for whatever reason, cannot demonstrate they have achieved the expected learning outcomes defined by the Department. Students who miss more than twenty-five percent of classes will have their final grade lowered and can be failed for the course.

Examinations

Exams use a combination of multiple-choice and essay questions.

Course evaluation procedure

Course evaluations are conducted each term toward the end of the quarter. This is the student's opportunity to offer suggestions for improving the instruction and/or instructional materials offered in the course. Feedback is welcome at anytime either to the instructor directly or through the departmental chairperson located in the Communication Arts office room 2222.
